New York, NY – Mike Bako and Susan Higgins receive key promotions. Shelby Fix and Scott Sommer join the team.
Mike Bako is now Executive Producer for D S Simon Media. Mike was previously Director of Media & Content Strategy. Mike is an on-air sports communications analyst for Fox News, WPIX NY, and Reuters. He is also an experienced media trainer for clients including National Park Service, Duke University, Nike, and US Department of Defense.
Susan Higgins is now Director of Media Relations for D S Simon Media promoted from Senior Media Relations Manager. She has coordinated thousands of media bookings during her career. Previously, Sue has worked with many of the top PR Broadcast firms in the country as a freelance consultant and publicist. Prior to that Sue worked as a News Researcher for WABC-TV in New York City and as an Associate Producer for CNN’s New York News Bureau.
Shelby Fix joins D S Simon Media as Video Producer/ Senior Content Marketer. Shelby has experience as on-camera talent for the automotive industry. Shelby offers a diverse background in television, radio, film, and online content. Shelby had previously been in charge of the Social Media platforms for 39 Applebee’s locations. She has also worked at top PR agencies PMK•BNC and FleishmanHillard.
Scott Sommer joins D S Simon Media as Video Producer/ Content Marketer. He was previously Producer, Reporter, and Editor at Artisan News Service producing stories featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Guns & Roses, Billy Joel, and among others. Scott started his career in a production position on America’s Got Talent.
