New York, NY, March 5, 2014 – Strategic video communications firm D S Simon Productions has added two industry veterans to its sales and marketing team. Tom Hessemer has been named Senior Client Service Director and Liz LaBrasca is Senior Director Client Services – Midwest Region. For 20 years, Hessemer has consulted and strategized with PR executives at agencies, corporations, non-profits and trade associations. LaBrasca boasts 25 years of marketing communications experience. For the past 15 years, she was Director of Client Services for News Broadcast Network. Sarah Katz has been named Vice President, Business Development. Katz joined D S Simon in 2007 and has been promoted to head the growing team.

Sarah Katz, VP Business Development, has been with D S Simon, a strategic video communications firm since 2007. Growing from a support role with the Sales & Marketing team, she quickly took a leading role in expanding the co-op SMT business, moving her up the ranks in the company. Today she manages the growing sales team, helping develop and promote new service offerings and advising clients on campaigns and strategy. Before starting at D S Simon Productions, she worked in Business Development for the Mentor Network, a for-profit health and human services company headquartered in Boston, MA. Sarah graduated from Brandeis University in 2007 with a degree in Economics & Politics.

Tom Hessemer, Senior Client Service Director started his career at Viacom in television syndication. For nearly 20 years he has been consulting and strategizing with public relations executives at agencies, corporations and non-profit/trade associations. Tom brings an expertise about effective uses of radio and PSAs in the digital age. “We’ve seen a dramatic increase in potential landing spots for content,” says Hessemer. “At the same time, digital distribution has lowered costs significantly.”

Liz LaBrasca, Senior Director Client Services – Midwest Region joins D S Simon Productions with 25 years experience in marketing communications. Liz has worked with clients in consumer goods, associations and not-for-profit organizations, as well as healthcare and others.
After beginning her career in media relations and production, Liz moved into the fast-paced sales arena where she has gained valuable insight on the changing trends and best practices in the industry. This experience has provided Liz with an in-depth perspective on broadcast public relations projects from beginning to end. Liz excels at project management and client service, always keeping her focus on mutual success for her clients and her company.
Liz is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin with her husband Jim and two sons.
