New York, NY, May 28, 2010 – A Satellite and Internet Media Tour for the March of Dimes “Premature Birth Report Card” campaign produced by D S Simon Productions won the top prize for “Use of Broadcast” at the Big Apple Awards. The Award was announced at the PRSA-New York Big Apple Awards event on the evening of May 27th.
The campaign blended traditional television and radio media tours with B-Roll and an Internet Media Tour, as well as Spanish outreach.
“The Internet Media Tour allowed for a combination of earned online media and web syndication of video content that significantly enhanced the value of the campaign,” says Douglas Simon, President & CEO of D S Simon Productions. “We hope the recognition for this campaign will help to increase public awareness of the seriousness of premature birth,” said Todd Dezen, associate director of media relations at the March of Dimes. The campaign generated 45 million television and radio impressions as well as online media.
